No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow 65 Truffle

No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow - 65 Truffle

I picked this Eyeshadow up from Boots (or online here) when the No7 vouchers were floating about, I have green eyes with a teeny splash of blue so brown/gold eyeshadow really work for me as they bring out the colour in my eyes and make them stand out rather than using just normal eye liner and a nude shadow which don't accentuate my eyes in the same way. I had a No7 trio in Cappuccino given to me as a gift one Christmas and I just loved all the colours and how they made my eyes look, which sparked my love for brown/gold smokey eyes. I used it constantly to create a smokey eye until it ran out earlier this year *sob* however I thought I would buy with my No7 voucher the single colour which I found was similar to 65 Truffle *tadar*.

I've used this quite a few times to create my favourite eye look and it hasn't let me down, I love the texture and the way it blends so easily and I'd say It's pretty fail proof as If you do over do it all you need to do is keep blending with your finger or a blending brush and you've fixed it. It doesn't have a sent which I like when I'm putting things on my eye lids as who wants to have red eyes because their heavily scented eye shadow has irritated their eyes? Not me. I usually were it with a flawless looking base with Truffle blended into the crease and Maybelline eye shadow in Naked Beige on the lids with my Mac fluid line on my water line and tight line then my eyes are complete, If I'm going out in the evening I'll usually coat my eyelashes in some Rimmel Scandal eyes mascara and then a pair of false eyelashes, Then on my cheeks a subtle pink blush or a slightly shimmered bronze all over. It usually lasts me all evening without primer with just a bit of foundation on my lids to even the colouring and keep it all in place.

I would totally recommend this eyeshadow to everyone and anyone, you don't have to have green or blue eyes to appreciate the warm colour, I think it can suit anyone. I will continue to use this as my go to brown/gold smokey eyes, I will also definitely be buying the trio I had from No7 since I now have a £3 off No7 cosmetics voucher from my last boots trip!

What's your go to Eyeshadow for your brown/gold smokey eye?

Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer and Highlighter

Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 Concealer & Highlighter £5.99 Boots or Superdrug.

I feel I should start this with saying I'm still undecided if I'm going to repurchase this product when It runs out, I feel like by being a 2-in-1 product it doesn't do either of the things it claims to very well just like the old kinds of 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner which everyone knows were rather rubbish. I picked mine up in shade 030 Classic Beige when I needed a new concealer and was running out of my Collection 2000 one, I used this first on holiday when I had minimal make up and only used it to cover my red nose, It felt slippy BUT also silky and easy to blend, the coverage was not what I usually go for as I like my concealer's to be full coverage and no fuss. The product is a pen style application which makes it less messy than my MAC studio sculpt concealer in the pot, and easyto apply where you want it. The packaging really attracted me to it as I had never used a concealer with this method for applying as well as the glossy tube and blue lid which made it look like it meant business (cringe much?) however I have to say the blue translucent lid has proved to be pretty messy and gets any unused product squishing around which is pretty frustrating watching product get wasted over a lid which I cant get out without great difficulty. I can tell when It runs out I'm going to have to cut it open to get the last remaining uses out of it as its the type of packaging which has nooks and crannies to hide extra product even when nothing else will come out.

This has been a pretty confusing Blog post as I do like the product but its just not enough coverage for me to use it as my everyday concealer but I haven't yet tried it when I do my full coverage (aka flawless base) foundation for when I'm going out in the evenings as I feel it may work as a highlight giving the Kim kardashian highlight ( the kind done without shimmery powder but light concealer under the eyes in a triangle shape) I will let you know how it goes. So will I repurchase this product again? Yes ummm Maybe?

Sleek Peaches & Cream Lipstick

Sleek Peaches & Cream Lipstick £4.99 Sleek Website

I picked up this lipstick after I was umming and ahhing over it for a while, however I decided to snap it up after I heard it was a great dupe for Reel Sexy by Mac as I was lusting after Reel Sexy for a while but i kept asking myself will I get many uses out of it as I usually stick to my nude and pink lipsticks.

First off I really like the packaging, I don't think you can go wrong with simple black tube; I think its classy and makes it easy to fit in my clutch or make up bag without taking up tonnes of room, however this may just be me but I find it really hard to put the top back on the tube without my full concentration and a bit of patience as it has a mechanism to make sure it doesn't slip off, which I guess is good but not so great when you're out and the lighting's rubbish or if you're in a rush because I can see it being a frustrating experience. The Finish of the lipstick on me is quite matte but not *sticking to dry skin highlighting all the cracks* matte, it is also creamy enough to glide on the lips. The colour is more orange than I thought it would come out but when I was trying to think of a colour to really describe it It hit me that I would  literally have to say Its a Peach colour (And yes I didn't clock on when I was trying to think of  the right colour in my head that maybe the name of it had something to do with the colour Haha *stupid me*). I haven't worn the lipstick for a full day yet but I did wear it on holiday in the evening to eat out and I did have to reapply it but what lipstick stays on perfectly when your eating and drinking? Not many I've come across. I had a few compliments on the colour and I did really like it even when I wore it quite sheer as well as when applied heavily.

Sleek Make up Is available at most Superdrug's and on the Sleek website, I picked mine up for £4.99 which is a bargain against Mac Reel Sexy at £13.50. I do own a few Sleek blushes but this is the only lipstick and I would definitely consider buying more Sleek Lipsticks but whenever I go to Sleek in my Superdrug all the Lipsticks are usually sold out or in a muddle so I will have to have some patience next time and have another look. Ooooo also I didn't include a swatch in this post as there are so many great ones on Google from great Blogs ! I think those are all my points but if there's anything I didn't say they feel free to ask : )

Elf Haul #1

Right so this is technically my 3rd Elf Haul but my 1st one I'm showing on here.. yaay ! I ordered this when they had a 30% off the studio line so I thought I would just order some bits that I wanted last time they had a discount code but had sold out of *sigh*. I spent just enough to get free delivery and the 30% of code. I only ever order from elf when they have a discount code. I'm probably going to do a best of Elf products, which will be in my opinion so some people may love the products I think, are..... Not good. Well enough rambling.. this is what the elf box looked like when it arrived and I opened it.
The second picture is of the make up products I ordered I did try order just the studio line products as the discount was only on them, I thought I didn't well on the product front only ordering one normal Elf product which was only £1.50 which I thought was more than okay however the Elf products can build up to the point where I have a ridiculous amount of products at a more ridiculous price in my shopping basket which I then just save to my wish list for future reference. Anyway.. from the studio line which were all £3.75 full price I picked up the Blush and Bronzer Compact, Light Eyebrow Kit, Candid Coral BlushGiddy Gold BlushGolden Bronzer and from the £1.50 line the Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder In Luminance.
I really wanted to get some eye blending brushes as you can never have too many in my opinion if you're as lazy as i am and when you have a few brushes you can put of the washing process for a tad longer. I also was just interested on how well the angles contour bronzing brush worked as well as seeing what the total face brush is like. All the brushes were £1.50 and the reason I brought as many as I did was because usually they are sold out so I thought I'm not planning on doing another order any time soon. These are the brushes I brought, I haven't used them yet but like I said I will be doing a video on my favourite Elf products so these may be featured. I picked up 3 of the Blending Eye Brush, a Concealer Brush (not what I expected but hmm we'll see), Eye Shadow Brush, Defining Eye Brush, Total Face Brush and last but not least a Bronzing Brush. At first glance all the products look great and I've swatched a few but I'm not sure you can expect amazing things from products all under £5 but I am really exited to use the brushes and the Eyebrow Kit and the Bronzer in Golden. Let me know if you've read this and what your favourite Elf Product is !

July Favourites

These are all my favourites this month, I don't have many products as I have had a pretty lazy July and not loving that many products any more than usual. However these products have made the cut and have outshone the other products in my life. I have brought alot of make up items recently and I'm going to be trying them out this August so hopefully I will have a variation of products to feature in my August favourites.

Shower Comb - I picked this up on a recent food shopping trip at Sainsburys as I saw it was on offer, I needed a comb as when I was in my last month at College I was rushing to get everything finished and had little time to do anything other than wash my hair and put it up in a bun. When I had finished College for summer I picked it up to comb through with conditioner in to help de tangle the aftermath of the bun. Its designed to be used in the shower and has a curl at the end so it can be hung in the shower. I really like it and its helped keep my hair tangle free as well as pain free which can be difficult as I have long hair.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Shampoo and Conditioner -  ( 2 for £7.00 in sainsburys) I also picked these up when shopping with my mum in sainsburys as I wanted to try a new colour correcting shampoo and conditioner, These are for people with dyed blonde hair like myself who want to combat brassiness. I find when using these my hair is really soft, I left the conditioner on over night with cling film and in the morning washed it out and did notice a real difference in the colour, also I could not believe how soft my hair was.

Dirty Works Coconut Creme Body Butter - £4.00 Sainsburys - This creme smells ridiculously amazing and fresh and is so thick and sinks into the sink so well leaving the skin sooooo soft. Every time I use it its left my skin so soft afterwards and the smell is so comforting and not sickening. for a long time at I can't believe I had never heard anybody talk about this before. I will definitely be getting this again when it runs out.

MeMeMe Shimmer Stack in Bronze - (Clothes Show) This is marketed as a Bronzer, it has 5 strips of browns and 1 highlight strip, the browns are dark to golden and are all the right amount of shimmery. This has been my go to Bronzer when I'm when I'm going out for the evening, I apply it all over my chest and sometimes down my shins and occasionally lightly dusted all over my face for a bronzed look. I also use some of the colours as an eye shadows for a brown smokey eye as they are really creamy and blend amazingly and the highlight shade is perfect for under the brow bone. I cant find it on the superdrug website but I'm going to hunt it down so I'll have one when this runs out as I've hit pan..noooooo.

Lee Stafford Argon Oil - £11.99 Boots - I was on the hunt for the Organix Moroccan Oil from boots however I couldn't find it but I desperately needed something nourishing for my hair so I had heard good things about this oil so I thought I would give it a go. My first impressions were it was reasonably priced and smelt amazing and I have tried it both with damp and dry hair, I felt using it on damp hair worked best but using it with dry hair still made my hair extremely soft. I feel this made my hair so soft left it smelling great, I am really interested in other hair oils and eventually want to get the Moroccan Oil for light hair but for now I am more than happy with this.

Vaseline Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera - £1.99 Boots - I didn't actually buy this myself I got given it in a set as a gift from someone, I don't actually use this Vaseline to help when my lips are chapped and cracked as I know Vaseline can make chapped lips worse, I use it when my lips are in a good condition to keep my already hydrated lips hydrated. I have got into the habit of after using Vaseline rubbing the excess from my fingers onto my elbows to keep them soft, I think it actually has really helped.I always keep a type of Vaseline in my bag or with me, it will always technically be a favourite.

Alien Thierry Mugler Sample - Free with debenhams order - This scent is amazing, I actually own Angel from Thierry Mugler and its one of my favourite perfumes along with Flowerbomb by Victor and Rolf, I was taking this out with me and applying it on the way wherever we were going, you don't need alot as its so strong which I found was great as I like my perfumes to be obnoxious and in your face (as long as they smell good). I got about two full uses out of this and I was pleasantly surprised at it. I would definitely consider adding this to my collection in full size.

DIDDY HAUL

Soooo....
I have been umming and ahhhing about how to get my Blog up and running and what I should post, I've been itching to start but literally have no Idea how to, I thought I'll just jump right in with a liddle haul, I can't wait till this feels more comfortable, I also realise I have told little about myself but I will naturally let people get to know me as I thought listing things about myself is very Primary school as I'm 18 and in College (see easy) . However today is my Dad's Birthday (Happy Birthday Dad wooo ) so yesterday I went into town to get some last minute bits to finish off his present AKA another excuse to go into all my usual haunts.. I wanted a wearable one so I swatched them all up my arm in Boots and decided on 040 Rendezvous ! HAAI THERE

HAAAAI people, so I am pretty awful at writing and I usually can never get out what I really want to say and I almost always go off on a tangent and forget what I was even going on about.. Oh wait not only do I do this when I am writing I also do this when I am speaking out loud too, however when i am talking about clothes and make up I am prettty savvy (I don't think this is the right word, HEY HO) .

Basically I feel a bit lost atm and love  reading people's blogs and trying out products for myself AND I often feel as if my cats aren't really listening when I tell them about my love of clothes and make up and I thought as I am constantly stalking other peoples blogs and youtube's why don't I create my own? It will also give me a reason to spend my money on these things and I wont feel as guilty as my excuse can be Its research.. yipee ! I thought as this is my first post I would put a liddle bit about myself....

My names Niamh, I am studying photography at college and I have a ridiculous amount of clothes and overflowing make up collection. This blog is probably going to be a mix of the beauty things I am liking and  a bit of the garment department.
